Services Performed
- Remove and replace battery sensor, horn assembly, and charge battery
- Inspect battery terminals, cables, and accessory belts. Load test battery, starter motor, and alternator output and record readings. Battery static voltage is 12.5 volts, and load test at 104%. Alternator output is 125 amps with no ripple voltage. Starter draw is normal. Perform lab scope testing for alternator which stated possible issues. Check for fuses for all components and found horn fuse blown at this time. Check for battery parasitic draw and those readings fell within specifications. Retrieved fault code #P16E3 for battery sensor communication error, and found no issues at this time. Cleared fault code and messages from computer memory. If issue occurs again, further testing will be needed.
