Hook-up diagnostic scanner test equipment to perform OBD II communications test. Retrieve trouble fault code #P1101 indicating fault in intake air flow system. Perform live data checks of systems voltages and sensor operations. Recommend cleaning of PCV system hoses, replacement of PCV valve, air filter replacement, and throttle body induction service before any further diagnosis can occur. Quote estimate of repairs to customer.
Remove and replace air filter. Clean all debris from housing assembly. N/C !!!!!!
Check fuel pressure in fuel system and perform fuel injector cleaning service. Install fuel additive in fuel tank.
PCV VALVE – Remove & Replace – 1.5L Eng PCV Valve-Rear. Remove all PCV hoses and clean out internally of sludge and oil residue for better air flow. Remove and clean air intake sensor. Clear fault codes from computer memory and test drive after repairs.
Remove and replace air filter. Clean all debris from housing assembly. N/C !!!!!!

Test drive vehicle to verify customer complaint. Perform visual inspection of engine compartment components. Connect computer scanner to retrieve stored fault codes. Retrieved codes #PO300 for random cylinder mis-fires, PO324, PO330, and PO331 for knock sensor circuit issues, PO521 and PO6DD for oil pressure performance issues, and P219B for fuel trim cylinder balance. Vehicle was 2.5 qts low on oil possibly causing some fault codes, and oil pan needs replace3ment due to stripped drain plug threads. Cleared all fault codes from computer memory.
